Important Note: Remote Desktop for Estimator
If an estimator is using Trimble Estimation and running into any issues with the remote app, escalate a ticket to Infrastructure, and they can terminate any duplicate or already-opened sessions
When an Estimator first logs in, they need to open the OneDrive remote app FIRST
Then they can launch the Trimble Estimation remote app. The OD remote app syncs with Trimble. If they say there are sync issues with Trimble, try this
Open Remote Desktop on their computer and connect to npm-rds-02.nashplumbing.local – authenticate with their credentials.
Once in, try to open OneDrive. If you don’t see the OD File Explorer appear, infra will have to disconnect their remote session. Log off the RDS connection before infra disconnects. Once disconnected, have the user launch the OneDrive remote app again.
Trimble does not populate on screen
If an Estimator using Trimble launches OD and it is opened on the taskbar, then launches the Trimble App and it doesn’t populate on the desktop, prior escalating the ticket,
Try the following steps: “Windows+Shift” keys at the same time, when the App shows on the screen, have the user press the left or right arrow on the keyboard or drag it out to the monitor.
(Windows key + Shift + Left arrow or Right arrow: Move selected window to the left or right monitor. Windows key + Tab: Open Task View (virtual desktops)
