Log Shipping from HBMC-DAVIS to HBREPORTS

Pre-Setup Details

1. Create a folder to store the logs files in

a. HBREPORTS is E:\Davisware\LogShippingTransactions

2. Set up service account in active directory

a. HBDOMAIN.LOCAL is HBMCServiceAccount

3. Windows Defender Firewall - Add inbound rule for source server on destination server

4. Change the Log On As for the SQL Server Instance in Sql Server Configuration Manager for both source and destination servers

How to set up from scratch

1. On HBMC-DAVIS (Source), back up the Service database (Full Backup to E:\Davisware\LogShippingTransactions)

2. On HBREPORTS, restore the Service database file (On E:\Davisware\LogShippingTransactions)

3. On HBMC-DAVIS, under Tasks for the Service database, click Ship Transaction Logs and complete the following pieces (make sure Restore Transaction Log is set to "Standby Mode")
